Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Beam Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with fabrication tools, and experience operating programmable machinery. As a Beam Saw Operator, you will be responsible for accurately cutting and preparing materials according to specifications, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain beam saw machinery, ensuring precise cuts according to project specifications.
- Set up and calibrate saws using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and SolidWorks models to ensure accuracy.
- Utilize hand tools and tooling to adjust, repair, or modify equipment as needed for optimal performance.
- Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, including loading, unloading, and storage of raw materials and finished products.
- Apply basic math skills to measure, mark, and verify dimensions for accurate fabrication.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment, troubleshoot issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and perform minor repairs when necessary.
- Assist in assembly processes by fitting components together with precision, welding parts when required, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols related to materials handling and machinery operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating beam saws or similar fabrication equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in milling, welding, and assembly techniques.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks for interpreting design files.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machinery automation and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and the use of hand tools and tooling.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes including welding, milling, and assembly is highly desirable.
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred to facilitate efficient material movement and storage management.
