Operations Manager (Electrical Projects)
Salary: £45,000 to £52,000 depending on experience + company vehicle + pension.
Summary
This is a technical and management electrical engineering role based at our offices in Cannock Staffordshire and operates primarily during normal office hours. The role is permanent and full time usual work days Monday to Friday.
Principle Duties
o Lead the day-to-day operation of panel assembly and site installation activities.
o Coordinate labour, materials and subcontractors across multiple projects.
o Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
o Maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers and project teams.
o Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvements.
o Ensure compliance with procedures, industry standards and health and safety requirements.
Purpose of the role
The Operations Manager is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of control panel assembly, field wiring and electrical installation activities. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the required quality standards.
Working closely with customers, engineers, electricians, panel builders and subcontractors, the Operations Manager coordinates labour, materials, schedules and technical resources to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
The role requires a highly organised individual who can manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing customer requirements and maintain effective communication across all project stakeholders.

Person specification:
The ideal candidate will be an organised and proactive manager with experience in electrical installations, control panel manufacture or electrotechnical engineering environments.
The individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic business where priorities can change regularly. Strong planning, communication and organisational skills are essential.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining high standards of quality, safety and customer service.
Whilst technical knowledge of control panels, electrical installations and industrial systems is important, the primary requirement is the ability to organise people, resources and activities to achieve successful project delivery.
Qualifications/skills/Experience:
Excellent organisational skills.
Strong communication and leadership ability.
Experience managing people, contractors or projects.
Ability to prioritise workloads and manage changing demands.
Customer-focused approach.
Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft 365.
Full UK driving licence.
Experience with control panel manufacture.
Experience managing electrical installations.
Knowledge of BS7671 and BS EN 61439.
CAD or engineering drawing experience.
Project management qualification.
Electrical engineering qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent).
We may also consider candidates who can demonstrate the base skills required and have a strong affinity for engineering electrical and mechanical systems.
Pay: £45,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
