We are looking for an experienced Family Solicitor +2 years PQE to join our legal practice. Advising and representing clients in complex family and care matters. Legal Aid work forms a core part of this role.
The role involves managing a varied caseload across the full spectrum of family law, with a particular focus on care proceedings and work involving vulnerable clients. Court representation and liaison with external agencies are central to the position. The successful candidate will handle matters including care proceedings and PLO, child arrangements, financial remedies, domestic abuse injunctions, divorce and separation, and cohabitation disputes.
Experience
- Represent clients at Family Court hearings and instruct counsel where appropriate
- Liaise with CAFCASS, social services, local authorities, and barristers
- Prepare court applications, statements, consent orders, and financial disclosure documents
- Conduct Legal Aid assessments and maintain ongoing LAA compliance
- Advise on mediation and alternative dispute resolution options
Desirable qualification & skills
- Law Society Children Panel accreditation or willingness to work towards this qualification
- Family Law Accreditation membership or willingness to work towards this qualification
- Fluent Welsh speaker is desirable but not essential for this role.
