Our client is a fast growing diagnostic med tech company. They are looking to add Production Scientists to their team who will play an integral role in the manufacture of products in a science-based laboratory.
Working within a team the Production Scientist will produce the correct amount and type of stock in line with customer and business requirements. This involves carrying out manufacturing tasks whilst following established processes and procedures in the Quality Management System.
Operations involve the production of over 400 products and increases to more than 1,000 when including bespoke products.
Your duties will include:
- Work as part of a team of Production Scientists, carrying out manufacturing tasks such as PCR amplification and Nick Translation in line with guidelines and under supervision
- Manufacture of custom products from BAC clone to final product using various techniques of DNA extraction and amplification including analysing and optimising FISH slides
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of materials and reagents within the laboratory area generally and specifically for each campaign/manufacture task assigned to you
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Adhere to procedures documented in the quality management system and ensure that any non-compliances are reported in a timely manner using approved procedures

- Ideas on process change and improvements to deliver operating efficiency
Desirable
- Minimum A level qualification or equivalent
- Experience of working in a production or laboratory environment
- Experience of using molecular biology techniques, such as PCR and Nick Translation etc.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
