Apprenticeship – Level 2/3 Adult Care Worker
Salary - £8.00
Hours – Monday to Friday - 9am – 5pm
Vacancy Overview –
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated apprentice to join our dementia and older adult support team. The role will involve supporting older adults within our community day clubs and outreach activities across Newcastle and Gateshead.
Duties may include:

Supporting older adults with social activities and wellbeing sessions

Assisting with dementia-friendly activities and community outings

Helping promote independence, confidence and social connection

Providing companionship and emotional support

Supporting with refreshments, activities and general day-to-day club operations

Working alongside experienced dementia care staff and external professionals
-
Completing apprenticeship coursework and training alongside the role

Service requirements –

A caring, compassionate and reliable nature is essential

Experience with older adults or dementia is desirable but not essential

Must be willing to support with Personal Care if required.

Must be willing to work towards an apprenticeship qualification

A driver with access to a vehicle is essential

Enhanced DBS will be required
