We are looking for an experienced FF&E Manager to work with our interior design practice near Bath on a part time freelance basis. You'll work on the procurement and delivery of furniture, lighting, textiles, antiques and decorative elements across a portfolio of exceptional high-end residential projects.
Working within a design-led practice specialising in Georgian and historic properties, you'll need to combine rigorous project and procurement management with a highly developed understanding of luxury interiors.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the FF&E process from design development and specification through procurement, delivery and installation.
- Working closely with designers, architects, contractors, antiques dealers, makers, upholsterers and specialist suppliers.
- Preparing and maintaining FF&E schedules, specifications, budgets, purchase orders and procurement trackers. Experience of using Estimac is ideal.
- Obtaining and negotiating quotations, lead times, trade terms and delivery arrangements.
- Coordinating bespoke furniture, upholstery, lighting, decorative accessories, rugs, artwork and antiques.
- Overseeing deliveries, inspections, snagging and installation - including resolving damaged, incorrect or delayed items.
- Attendance on client site at key points in the project
Ideal candidate profile
Do you combine luxury residential FF&E experience with excellent commercial and organisational skills?
Want to work part time/flexible/hybrid as part of a busy design studio ?
- 5+ years' experience in FF&E, procurement or project management
- Strong knowledge of furniture, fabrics, lighting, antiques, decorative arts and specialist finishes.
- Excellent supplier and negotiation skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and confident managing substantial budgets.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a hybrid environment, while being collaborative and studio-oriented. We are in the studio 3 days a week and the rest of the time is remote working. You will need a car as the office is rural and has parking.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Estimac or other procurement software.
