Phoenix Engineering are a long established business that design and manufacturing their own range of specialist plant and machinery for the construction industry.
We are now looking for an adaptable individual to join our Company in the following role -
Job Description Mechanical / Electrical Fitter
- undertake a wide variety of mechanical assembly tasks on our specialist construction machines, see the machine through to completion and run-up
- mechanical assembly of components, into place
- assembling hydraulic circuits and drive components
- fitment of control panels (low voltage dc) with wiring looms and complete connections
- this job suits an individual who wants an engaging job where they are part of a small team completing the full machine assembly and run-up.
Would suit an individual from a background or experience working on vehicles or plant.
Skills and Capabilities
- have a good mechanical aptitude,
- be able to read basic electric circuit drawings
- have knowledge of basic vehicle electrics
- work from written instructions, schematics and technical drawings,
- Work in a safe and organised manner, from own initiative.
- Good attention to detail.
- Be able a good problem solver,
- Be able to work individually on own tasks and manage your time effectively.
- Willing to learn and progress in the role,
- Machines and trucks are large and require physical capability to work around and on vehicles
Full Time, permanent position
Full time is 37 1/2 hrs per week – Monday to Friday
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Pay: £25,420.00-£33,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
