Bromley Y is a long-established charity based in Bromley that values the voices of Children, Young People (CYP), their families (parents) and/or carers as well as partner agencies. We are an early help Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Service based on the principles of iThrive.
Bromley Y seeks two highly motivated and enthusiastic practice and management supervisors to work within our service. The post holders will have considerable experience of supervising and managing therapists and practitioners in Children's Mental Health service. You will have an ability to work effectively within a team. You will demonstrate strong leadership skills and be an organised individual who can work creatively to develop and manage the day-to-day operation of the service.
Across the two posts the postholders will have varied duties including managing and supervising practitioners, allocating caseloads, co-ordinating assessment processes, managing risk processes, auditing cases, co-ordinating multi-disciplinary consultation meetings, and coordinating group interventions. There are key opportunities to work strategically within the partnership in Bromley as necessary. You will have skills in report writing, training and giving presentations.
The post holder will have a small caseload to maintain skills and accreditation with professional bodies. The postholder will work with people from various cultural backgrounds, ages and ability, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equity, diversity and inclusion.

This full-time post will begin in 2026.
About the role
Role: Practice Lead
Salary banding: FTE salary is £44,554 - £51,980 per annum dependent on experience
Working pattern: 5 days with some Saturday work according to business need
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days a week)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid model working remotely and at Ethelbert Road
The right candidate
The ideal candidate(s) must have:
- Considerable experience of and skills in working therapeutically with children, young people and their families
- Considerable experience in management and practice supervision
- Demonstrable ability to lead people
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of Bromley, its children, young people and families (parents/carers)
- Accreditation with a professional body (BACP, BABCP, UKCP)
- A core professional qualification (e.g. clinical psychology, social work, counselling, mental health nursing)
- Knowledge and understanding of issues relating to safeguarding children and young people
- Experience of multi-agency working and liaising across internal and external agencies
- Eligibility to work in the UK (Bromley Y does not provide sponsorship for roles)
