We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join our newly opened nursery, established at the start of this year, as a Part-Time Joint Nursery Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years professional to become part of a growing setting and work alongside our existing Manager in a joint management role.
The role will be office-based, with responsibility for supporting the management and administration of the nursery. You will work closely with the existing Manager to ensure the nursery operates smoothly and continues to provide a high-quality, nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
About the Role
As a Joint Nursery Manager, you will share management responsibilities with the existing Manager and play an important role in the continued development of our new setting.
This is a part-time position, ideal for an experienced manager who is confident working independently, managing administrative responsibilities and supporting the wider nursery team.
We are looking for someone with previous nursery management experience who can bring strong leadership, organisation and knowledge of the early years sector to the role.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an experienced early years professional who has:
● A relevant Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years/Childcare
● At least 2 years’ experience as a Nursery Manager or in a similar leadership role
● Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
● Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
● Previous experience managing or supporting the management of a nursery
● Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
● Excellent administrative and time-management skills
● The ability to work effectively as part of a joint management team
● A professional and confident approach
● A passion for delivering high-quality childcare and education
Key Responsibilities
As Joint Nursery Manager, you will work alongside the existing Manager to:
● Support the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the nursery
● Share management responsibilities and decision-making
● Lead, mentor and support staff
● Support staff supervision, appraisals and professional development
● Maintain high standards of care, education and safeguarding
● Ensure compliance with Ofsted, EYFS and regulatory requirements
● Manage administrative duties and nursery records
● Support occupancy, admissions and parent/carer relationships
● Assist with staff rotas and staffing arrangements
● Support the development and implementation of nursery policies and procedures
● Assist with budgets, resources and general nursery administration
● Support curriculum planning and high-quality learning experiences
● Monitor standards and identify areas for improvement
● Help promote a positive, inclusive and professional nursery environment
● Work collaboratively with the existing Manager to support the continued growth and development of the nursery
