The working week will be Mon-Fri usually 7:00am-4:00pm with lunch break doing multi site drops throughout the day.
Job Overview
You will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of insulation and drylining materials to various construction sites and customer homes. You play a pivotal role in ensuring that the necessary materials arrive in perfect condition and meet the construction timelines. Your knowledge of industry-specific products, combined with your class 2 HGV driving skills, ensures that the projects are executed efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry, including flatbed vehicles, adhering to all road safety laws and company policies
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely arrival at designated locations
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Requirements
- A valid HGV driving qualification C, digital tachograph card and driver CPC card.
- Strong knowledge of road safety and transportation regulations.
- Physical ability to load and unload heavy materials.
- Excellent time management, communication and organisational skills.
- A team player and can also work using their own initiative.
- The driver needs to be health and safety aware.
- Report all vehicle/ driver incidents, accidents, offences and fines to the transport manager on duty.
- Experience in the insulation and drylining industry or familiarity with construction materials is advantageous.
