Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable Painters & Decorators to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. A strong understanding of colour schemes and matching, surface preparation, and finishing techniques is essential. Responsibilities
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish.
- Applying paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care.
- Hanging wallpaper and applying decorative finishes according to specifications and client preferences.
- Keeping all work areas clean, tidy and safe throughout the project.
- Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and any potential issues.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during the execution of duties.
- Managing time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in painting and decorating tasks.
- Good organisation skills and a strong attention to detail, with a focus on achieving professional results and client satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear interaction with clients and team members.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation between sites.
- Strong understanding of colour schemes, surface preparation techniques, and finishing methods.
