Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding effectively to emergencies. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
- Monitor CCTV systems continuously to observe activity and ensure the safety of all areas.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing assistance as necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting purposes.
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes.
- Provide first aid assistance when required, ensuring proper procedures are followed until emergency services arrive.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or investigations.
Experience
- Previous experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques is desirable.
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and techniques is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid or emergency response is a plus but not mandatory; training can be offered on-site.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
