Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our growing engineering team at Micronclean. Based primarily at our Louth, Lincolnshire site, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of our production equipment and facilities.

LOCATION: Based at Louth with occasional travel to Skegness
SALARY: £43,000 - £48,000 p.a. (dependent on experience)
JOB TYPE: Full-time

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday – weekly rotating shifts - 6:30am - 2:30pm and 2:30pm - 10:30pm
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, fault diagnosis, and engineering support across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will help maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a varied and hands-on role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing business.
As occasional travel between company sites is required, a full UK driving licence is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery and facilities

Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, and control systems

Accurately record maintenance activities within the Maintenance Management System (MMS)

Support continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reliability

Work collaboratively with production and operational teams to minimise downtime

Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures and industry standards

Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment where required
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Essential:
-
Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3/4, HNC, HND or equivalent)

Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role involving both mechanical and electrical maintenance

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
-
Knowledge of PLCs, motors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems

A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
-
Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems

18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification

Mitsubishi PLC knowledge and experience
-
IOSH Managing Safely qualification
-
Experience with steam generation systems
