JOB ADVERT: BOM CONTROLLER (BILL OF MATERIALS)
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented BOM Controller to join our Projects and Planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating Bills of Material (BOM) across a range of projects.
You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams to gather and interpret key information. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production processes and smooth operational flow across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Create, maintain, and manage Manufacturing BOM structures, including new part numbers, revisions, and updates within the Syteline ERP system
Define and manage part routings, including labour time estimation and validation
Manage part obsolescence and lifecycle updates
Support MRP (Material Resource Planning) scheduling and planning by optimising system parameters
Develop, document, and maintain procedures related to BOM control processes
Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives within BOM management
Promote strong cross-functional communication and collaboration across departments
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Proven experience in BOM control within a manufacturing environment
Background in Production Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience using ERP/MRP systems (Syteline preferred)
Familiarity with PLM systems such as Teamcenter
Knowledge of low-volume manufacturing processes (e.g. machining, fabrication, carbon composites, electrical, paint)

Self-motivated with the ability to plan and prioritise workload independently
Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
