Nursery Manager – Liverpool

A highly regarded Ofsted early years setting in Liverpool is continuing to grow following its expansion in September 2025. We are looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to work alongside the Director with the day-to-day running of the setting, provide confident leadership to the team and maintain consistently high standards of care, learning and safeguarding.
Pay and hours:
· From £35,000 per annum
· Full-time 40 hours
· Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate
Key responsibilities:
· Take overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day operation, leadership and management of the setting.
· Lead, motivate and support the nursery team, helping to maintain a positive, professional and child-centred working environment.
· Ensure practice remains fully aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), safeguarding requirements and nursery policies.
· Oversee the quality of planning, observations and assessments, ensuring each child's individual learning and development needs are met.
· Support staff deployment, daily routines, handovers and the smooth organisation of rooms across the setting.
· Build strong, professional relationships with parents and carers, responding appropriately to questions, feedback and concerns.
· Maintain accurate records and consistently high standards of health, safety, hygiene and safeguarding throughout the nursery.
What we're looking for:
· A Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification (or higher) is essential.
· Previous leadership and management experience within a nursery or early years setting, such as Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Practitioner.
· Strong working knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding procedures and the standards expected within an Ofsted-regulated setting.
· A calm, organised and proactive leadership style, with the confidence to lead staff and make sound day-to-day management decisions.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with children, families, colleagues and external professionals.
· Willingness to complete the required training and checks, including paediatric first aid and an enhanced DBS check.
