Female Support Worker – 1:1 Support
Contract: Casual/Bank – Zero-hours contract
Hours: Hours are not guaranteed and will vary depending on service needs and available shifts.

Working pattern: 1:1 lone working
We are looking for a caring, reliable and confident Female Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support to one individual on a lone-working basis.
You will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing. You will need to be comfortable working independently, following support plans and risk assessments, maintaining professional boundaries and knowing when to seek advice or escalate concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and person-centred 1:1 support.
- Promote independence, dignity, choice and control.
- Support with daily routines, budgeting, shopping and appointments.
- Encourage community access, hobbies and meaningful activities.
- Prompt and encourage personal hygiene and independent living skills.
- Support with medication in line with the individual's medication plan and Limesdale policy.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment and encourage the individual to participate in household tasks.
- Follow support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding arrangements.
- Maintain clear professional boundaries.
- Complete accurate, factual and timely daily records.
- Report incidents, safeguarding concerns or changes in risk promptly.
- Follow Limesdale's lone-working and health and safety procedures.
About You
You will ideally have experience supporting vulnerable adults and will be:
- Confident working independently on a lone-working basis.
- Calm, reliable and professional.
- Able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
- A good communicator with strong written recording skills.
- Committed to promoting independence and person-centred support.
Experience within supported living or mental health services is desirable. Relevant training will be provided.
Occupational Requirement – Female Applicants
Due to the assessed safeguarding needs of the person we support, there is an Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be female.
This requirement is considered necessary and proportionate to safeguard both the person receiving support and employees and is applied in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
Additional Information
This role involves supporting one individual on a 1:1 lone-working basis. Management and on-call support will be available in accordance with Limesdale procedures.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory safer recruitment checks, including an appropriate enhanced DBS check, references and confirmation of the right to work in the UK.
Pay: From £12.76 per hour
