Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to maintain safety and security at various venues and events. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons, staff, and premises, while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a confident presence, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to any incident. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where security expertise is valued and essential.
This role is Saturday evening only between 18:00-00:30, other shifts are available on other dates.
Duties
- Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorised individuals gain access
- Enforce venue policies and procedures in a professional manner
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, including assisting with first aid when necessary
- Maintain a visible presence to deter undesirable activity and ensure the safety of all attendees
- Record detailed incident reports accurately and promptly as required
- Collaborate with staff and emergency services when needed to ensure smooth operations and safety compliance
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (or equivalent recognised certification)
- Prior experience in security, surveillance, or loss prevention is advantageous
- First aid certification is desirable but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
- Excellent communication skills with a confident, approachable manner
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and respond quickly in emergency situations
