What you’ll do
Ashfords' Corporate team is seeking an experienced and proactive Legal Support Coordinator to join our Bristol office. This is a varied role that combines hands-on legal support with responsibility for coordinating the Legal Support Assistant team, helping to ensure the smooth running of a busy and high-performing department.
Working closely with Partners and fee earners, you'll provide high-quality assistance across a range of activities, including diary and inbox management, document production, dictation, travel and meeting coordination, team events and wider departmental initiatives. You'll become a trusted member of the team, building strong relationships and anticipating the needs of colleagues, enabling them to focus on delivering excellent client service.
You'll also play a key role in coordinating support activities across the department, helping to manage workloads, oversee cover arrangements and ensure resources are aligned to the needs of the team. Working closely with the Legal Support Assistant team, you'll support recruitment, onboarding and development activities, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing working environment.
With a proactive approach to continuous improvement, you'll identify opportunities to enhance ways of working, collaborate with colleagues across the firm to drive efficiencies and contribute to key projects and departmental initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal support professional looking to take the next step in their career. You'll combine team coordination responsibilities with high-level support to fee earners in one of the firm's largest practice areas.
Who you are
You are an experienced professional with a background in a Legal Support, Personal Assistant or similar role within a legal or professional services environment. Highly organised and adaptable, you're confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Whether coordinating complex diaries, arranging meetings and events, producing documents or supporting departmental activities, you approach your work with professionalism, attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
You'll be a strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively and supporting others to succeed. Comfortable coordinating workloads and sharing knowledge and best practice, you'll contribute to a positive and supportive team culture while helping to ensure work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
With excellent communication skills and a solutions-focused approach, you'll be someone who takes initiative, anticipates needs and looks for opportunities to improve the way things are done.
Most importantly, you'll be enthusiastic about becoming a trusted part of our Corporate team, providing first-class support and making a meaningful contribution to the success of the department.
