With a multi-million-pound investment transforming Future Industrial Services (part of the Augean Group) hazardous waste treatment and recovery services in Honiton, an exciting position has risen for a new Waste Transfer Driver. This is a full time, permanent role reporting to the Hazardous Waste Coordinator.
We are currently looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 driver based in Honiton to join our team of drivers in the South region. Starting as soon as possible this is a full time, permanent role with a 40 hours per week basic contract. As part of the role, you will be required to perform packing duties, including pallet wrapping, moving full wheelie bins, lifting up to 25kg drums as well as using pump trucks. There are also plenty of opportunities for overtime. This is a vast and varied role whereby no two weeks are the same.
You will be responsible for collecting wastes from customers premises so you will need to be a good ambassador for the company ensuring the customer experience is a positive one.
To apply for the role of LGV Class 2 Driver you must be an experienced driver with an LGV Class 2 driving licence valid for the UK. You will also need an in-date Driver CPC and digital tacho card. An ADR licence is desirable for this role but not essential as training will be given.
Due to the nature of our business, we have an extremely high focus on health, safety and the environment and you must be the sort of person who will embrace this culture. As a driver for Future Industrial Services (part of the Augean Group), you are the face of the company, therefore you must be able to work using you own initiative, have good communication skills and be presentable. As the work is so vast and varied you will also require a flexible approach to working hours within the legal WTD and Drivers Hours limits. Clear handwriting and an eye for detail are also essential.
