Are you a graduate looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in secondary education before pursuing a long-term career in teaching, psychology, counselling, youth work, SEN support, or pastoral care?
WhoFoundWho are partnering with a number of highly supportive secondary schools across Enfield who are looking for exceptional Graduate Teaching Assistants to join them from September 2026 for the full academic year.
These are not passive classroom support roles.
Schools are looking for adaptable, proactive and genuinely passionate graduates who can become a valued part of the school community. The graduates who thrive in these positions are the ones who bring energy, reliability, emotional intelligence and a willingness to get stuck in.
The role may include:
- 1:1 support for students who need additional guidance
- Supporting students with SEND (ADHD, Autism, SEMH, Dyslexia etc.)
- Running small group interventions
- Supporting behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Assisting teachers across a range of subjects
- Helping with extracurricular clubs, enrichment and school trips
- Acting as a positive role model for young people
We are particularly interested in graduates who have previous experience working with children or young people in any capacity, including:
- Tutoring
- Coaching
- Summer camps
- Mentoring
- Youth work
- Drama or music clubs
- Classroom placements
- Volunteering
The graduates who stand out most to our schools are often those who have:
- Strong academic backgrounds
- Leadership experience during university or sixth form
- Tutoring or mentoring experience
- Experience working with children or young people
- Confident communication skills
- A calm, adaptable and professional nature
- Interests in sport, drama, music, debate, humanities, STEM or creative subjects
- Experience balancing multiple responsibilities in fast-paced environments
Additional Grad TA Details:
- Our partner schools are looking for graduates who are reliable, committed and able to see the full academic year through until July 2027.
