Brickwork Technician – Further Education College
Location: Stratford, East London
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Contract: Temporary
Start Date: Within the next 2 weeks
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Brickwork Technician to join a busy Further Education college in Stratford, East London.
This is a full-time position supporting the college's Brickwork and Construction provision. You will work alongside lecturers and students to ensure workshops are safe, organised and fully prepared for practical sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tools, equipment and materials for practical Brickwork sessions
- Support lecturers during practical workshops
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
- Ensure tools and equipment are stored and maintained correctly
- Assist with stock control and preparation of materials
- Support students during practical activities where required
- Follow relevant health and safety procedures within the workshop
Requirements
- Previous Brickwork experience is essential
- Good practical knowledge of tools, materials and equipment used within Brickwork
- Strong understanding of workshop health and safety
- Ability to work effectively with both staff and students
- Previous experience within a college or education environment would be beneficial but is not essential
