The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Co-ordinator to support and enhance our H&S function at our Haslingden site. This is a key role, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and promoting a strong safety culture across the business.
Overview
The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe working environment by implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting best practices across all departments. Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with current H&S legislation and company standards
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections across the site
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommendations
- Deliver guidance and support to managers and staff on H&S matters
- Maintain accurate H&S records and documentation
- Assist with training and promoting a positive safety culture
About You
- NEBOSH qualification (essential)
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience within a Health & Safety role
- Background within a manufacturing or similar environment
- Experience working within large or multi-site businesses
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proactive, confident, and able to influence at all levels
