Premises Manager – School
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Premises Manager to join a school on a permanent, full-time basis.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance and safety of the school site, ensuring the premises are clean, secure, safe and well maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the day-to-day running and maintenance of the school premises
- Carrying out general maintenance and repairs where required
- Managing contractors and external service providers
- Ensuring the school site is safe, secure and well maintained
- Completing regular site inspections and reporting any issues
- Supporting with health and safety requirements and compliance
- Managing keys, access, security and site opening/closing procedures
- Overseeing grounds maintenance, cleaning and general site upkeep
- Monitoring maintenance schedules and arranging servicing and repairs
- Responding to urgent maintenance and site-related issues
- Managing and maintaining appropriate records and documentation
- Supporting the school with emergency procedures and risk assessments
- Working closely with school leadership and other staff to ensure the site operates effectively
About You
- Previous experience in a premises, estates, facilities or site management role
- Experience working within a school or similar environment would be advantageous
- Strong practical maintenance skills
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Able to manage contractors and external suppliers effectively
- Reliable, organised and proactive
- Good communication skills and a flexible approach
- Able to work independently and take responsibility for the smooth running of the site

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
