We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant/support worker to join our team. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as required.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement and follow care plans effectively.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Drive to various locations as needed for home care assignments.
Skills
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with residents and team members.
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with residents and their families.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
- Experience or knowledge of working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous.
- Experience of working with people with mental health and home care services is essential for this role.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
