FloFuel Support ltd design and manufacture aircraft refuelling vehicles on a global basis for major airports. We also carry out on site servicing, repairs & calibration of all refuelling equipment across the UK and Ireland for commercial and private airfields
As part of ongoing Growth, we are looking to recruit an office-based CAD Designer
Job Description
With our Engineering Team, you will be developing the skills to create and modify 3D CAD models using Autodesk inventor software. You will be required to create engineering drawings to aid the production department in the Manufacturing of Aircraft refuellers and various ground support equipment, The candidate will be expected to liaise with both sales and fabrication staff regarding product specification and engineering queries. The creation of technical documentation such as user manuals will also be required.
Responsibilities
As a CAD Designer, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Learn and apply 3D CAD modeling techniques to complex designs and assignments.
- To provide design solutions for our projects with guidance from engineering personnel.
- Assist in creating 3D models, engineering drawings and layouts.
- Learn to compile technical documentation such as user manuals, spec sheets and work instructions.
- Assist on projects as part of a design team.
- Assist both Mechanical and Electrical Production teams with information and drawings
Suitable candidates should have the following:
- Experience with Sheet metal profiles and laser cut parts
- Degree qualification in an engineering / design related subject is an advantage but not essential.
- 3D CAD experience, ideally Autodesk inventor, Auto Desk Vault & AutoCAD
- Well motivated, competent and analytical person.
- Computer literate and keen to learn and develop.
- A team player that works well under their own initiative and possesses good communication skills.
- Ability to produce accurate work in a timely manner.
- Well organised
- Positive outlook and approachable manner
- A co-operative and helpful attitude to colleagues and clients
- A keen willingness to learn and apply new skills.
- Self-motivating, reliable, consistent and mature approach to work

Working hours 40 hours per week, Mon-Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm
Salary: £28,000 -£38,000 Per annum Dependent on experience
23 days Leave plus bank holidays with the ability to up to 25 days after length of service.
