We are seeking a friendly and organised Chemist Counter Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries regarding pharmaceutical products and over-the-counter medicines
- Provide accurate information about products, including usage instructions and benefits
- Support merchandising activities by maintaining attractive displays and ensuring stock levels are adequate
- Handle transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system, ensuring correct cash handling and receipt issuance
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area to meet health and safety standards
- Manage stock replenishment, organise stock rotation, and report low inventory levels to management
- Offer excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries
Skills
- Grade C or above in GCSE English Language
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Time management abilities to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to support attractive product displays
- Organisational skills for maintaining a tidy workspace and managing stock levels effectively
- Phone etiquette skills for professional communication over the phone
Pay: £12.75-£13.00 per hour
