The Role
We're looking for an ambitious Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading a talented kitchen team. You'll play a key role in delivering consistently high-quality food, maintaining exceptional kitchen standards, and helping develop junior chefs.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day management of the kitchen.
- Lead kitchen operations during service and in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to consistently high standards.
- Ensure excellent food safety, hygiene, and health & safety practices are maintained at all times.
- Complete all kitchen records, checks, and compliance documentation accurately.
- Supervise, coach, and develop junior chefs and kitchen team members.
- Assist with seasonal menu development and new food offerings.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, stock rotation, and waste control.
- Keep all kitchen areas clean, organised, and well maintained.
- Uphold company standards and contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about great food, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, and enjoys leading by example.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to progress.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A hands-on approach with a positive attitude.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to remain calm and focused during busy services.
- A passion for developing others and building a positive team culture.
- A commitment to delivering consistently high standards.
