Overview::
We are looking for a roofer for liquid and tiling works, on patch repairs and reactive repairs in and around London. This will suit an experienced roofer or a young roofer looking to develop.
Duties:
- Inspect roofs for damage and determine the best course of action for repairs or replacements
- Install new roofs using a variety of materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal sheets
- Repair damaged roofs by replacing broken or missing shingles, tiles, or flashing
- Apply waterproof coatings or sealants to protect roofs from leaks
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions
- Install insulation and vapor barriers to ensure energy efficiency
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters or masons, to complete roofing projects
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when working at heights
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role
- Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints related to roofing projects
- Proficient in using power tools and equipment commonly used in roofing work
- Experience with heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments
- Basic carpentry skills for repairing or building roof structures
- Familiarity with masonry work for chimney repairs or flashing installation
