Fastlane Autocare is looking to recruit a qualified MOT Tester to join our busy and professional workshop in St Helens.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced MOT Tester who is also confident carrying out basic servicing, diagnostics, and repairs between MOT tests. The role offers stable, part-time hours within a supportive and well-equipped workshop.
Key Responsibilities – MOT Tester
As an MOT Tester, you will:
- Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
- Ensure all inspections are completed accurately and efficiently
- Maintain compliance with MOT testing procedures and regulations
- Perform basic vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and minor repairs between tests
- Accurately complete MOT documentation and records
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Uphold high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
Requirements
We are looking for a reliable and experienced MOT Tester with:
Essential:
- Valid MOT Tester Licence
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience carrying out MOT testing to DVSA standards
- Ability to carry out basic servicing, diagnostics, and repairs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Additional:
- MOT RAG rating will be reviewed during the interview process
- Good organisation skills and ability to manage your own workspace
