We're looking for a Customer Support Officer to join our friendly, dedicated team and help us deliver an outstanding experience to every customer, learner, and stakeholder we work with.
The Role
As our Customer Support Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers — responding to enquiries, resolving issues, and keeping accurate records across our systems. Working closely with the Customer Support Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining our high standards of service, contributing ideas for improvement, and helping us put the customer at the heart of everything we do.
This role occasionally requires flexible working, including some weekend work to support our assessment process.
What You'll Be Doing
- Acting as the first point of contact for customers, providing prompt, professional and helpful support across all agreed channels
- Investigating and resolving customer queries, escalating complex issues where needed
- Maintaining clear, accurate records of all customer interactions
- Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
- Identifying recurring issues or trends and feeding insights back to management
- Creating and maintaining FAQs, guidance documents and support materials
- Maintaining stakeholder records in line with GDPR and organisational standards
- Analysing customer feedback and data to support service improvements
- Preparing reports and summaries to support decision-making
- Supporting colleagues as part of a collaborative, effective team
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in English and Maths — relevant experience may compensate
- Experience working effectively as part of a team
- Confident using IT and office systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to analyse data and produce clear reports and recommendations
- Understanding of data protection and regulatory frameworks
- A genuine passion for service excellence and continuous improvement
- Flexibility around working hours when required
Desirable:
- Administrative experience, ideally within an educational setting
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
- A track record of ongoing professional development
