We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage reservations efficiently using the hotel management system
- Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Process payments accurately and maintain detailed records of guest transactions
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and maintained to high standards
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, escalating issues when necessary
- Maintain a tidy and organised reception area at all times
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and reporting as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel reception or hospitality is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to speak multiple languages is highly desirable; bilingual candidates will be prioritised
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional appearance
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hotel management software is advantageous but not mandatory
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
