Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee financial operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting software and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes. Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements in accordance with organisational policies.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting activities to support organisational financial goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Prepare reports for management regarding financial status, including ageing reports and expense analysis.
- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
- Implement improvements to accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing accounts within a professional setting, ideally with familiarity in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in analysing financial data and preparing detailed reports for management review.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating high levels of integrity and confidentiality.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or related fields are preferred but not essential.
- Experience with other accounting software packages is advantageous but not mandatory.
This role is integral to maintaining the organisation’s financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial management.
Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
