Overview
Innovative Networks are seeking an experienced, skilled and detail-oriented Structured Cabling Engineer to join our growing, dynamic and friendly team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in structured cabling principles and practices, particularly Cat6/Cat6A installations and testing. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to confidently work alone or alongside others.
We are based in Shepperton, Middlesex. The majority of the work will be in the London/greater London and Kent areas but there will be projects away from this area and so the candidate must be flexible and hold a UK driving licence. The role includes a company issue van and tools for work use.
Duties
- Have a minimum 2 years of experience as a structured cabling engineer on projects of various sizes
- Be competent and skilled in the installation, termination and testing of Cat6/6A structured cabling systems
- Have experience in running sites as the lead engineer
- Be competent in working from and organising structured cabling site drawings
- Be customer-facing and be comfortable collaborating with other contractors and engineers to create effective project plans
- Conduct assessments of existing structured cabling systems to determine their condition and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades
Qualifications
- Proven experience in telecommunications engineering or related roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to lead a team
- Ability to communicate well with clients
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality assurance in all engineering tasks.
- Electrical experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

- ECS/CSCS for data cabling engineer is essential
- C and G in structured cabling systems is preferred
- Experience in fibre optics is an advantage but not essential

Pay: £39,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
