Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef who have experience in Italian cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Chef will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining the smooth functioning of our restaurant.
Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient team management and collaboration
- Oversee all aspects of food production, from preparation to presentation, maintaining high standards of quality
- Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to maintain efficiency and quality control
- Innovate new recipes and improve existing dishes to enhance the menu offering
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary role within an Italian restaurant or hospitality environment
- Supervising experience is highly desirable
- Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with menu planning, inventory management, and cost control
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service. Need to be proficient in English language.
