First Fix Carpenter - I-Joists, Flooring & Straps (Price Work)

Indicative pay shown by Indeed: around £250 per day for the carpenter, depending on the team arrangement and productivity.
Price work rate: £400 per completed floor. This is the floor/team price, not a guaranteed £400 per day individual rate.

We are looking for experienced 1st fix carpenters for a new-build housing site in Hertford.
The work includes installing I-joists, floor decking/flooring, straps, hangers, noggins and associated first-fix floor items.
There are 29 houses with 2 floors in each house, making 58 floors in total. A competent carpenter working with a labourer or as part of a team should be able to complete one floor per day.
Applicants must have previous experience working on new-build sites and must be confident with I-joists, flooring/decking, straps and associated first-fix work.
Requirements
- Proven 1st fix carpentry experience.
- Experience installing I-joists, flooring/decking and straps on new-build housing sites.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Own tools and PPE.
- Able to work from drawings and follow site instructions.
- Reliable, tidy and able to work safely on site.
- Available for an immediate start in Hertford.
