Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Manager or Director to lead our procurement and supply chain initiatives. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals, emphasizing efficiency and cost savings.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle EBS), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain teams to coordinate logistics, inventory management, and distribution activities.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation.
- Establish strong supplier relationships through regular communication, performance reviews, and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee procurement documentation, contracts, and compliance requirements to maintain transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement management or directorship roles within manufacturing, retail, or logistics sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS; familiarity with other ERP platforms is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous terms while maintaining positive supplier relationships.
- Deep understanding of supply chain operations, including logistics planning and inventory control.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret market data, supplier performance reports, and logistics metrics.
- Effective communicator with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or related field; advanced certifications are advantageous.
