Deputy Manager
Abbeycliffe Residential Care Home, Radcliffe, Bury
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to support the smooth and effective running of our 40-bed residential care home for elderly residents.
Hours: 37.5 per week (including evenings, weekends and on-call cover)
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to maintain excellent standards across all areas of the home and take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in leading the care, catering, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance teams
- Take lead responsibility for day-to-day management of care services, including care plans, medication management and documentation
- Work hands-on within the care team as required
- Ensure full compliance with legislative requirements, company policies, and best practice
- Promote a positive, safe, caring, and homely environment for residents and visitors
- Support staff development and foster a positive work culture
- Build effective relationships with residents, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced care professional with strong leadership skills, a sound understanding of care home regulations, and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional care to older people. You must be flexible, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.
