Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Sales & Operations Administrator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be the glue that connects our customers, purchasing processes, and warehouse operations. You will manage the entire lifecycle of an order, from providing the initial quote to ensuring the final delivery meets our high customer service standards whilst working with different departments.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing: Efficiently and accurately enter, process, and track customer orders using our internal systems.
Customer Service & Reception: Act as the first point of contact for telephone and email inquiries, answering client questions with a friendly and professional manner.
Quotations: Prepare and issue accurate price quotes to prospective and existing clients in a timely manner.
Purchasing Support: Assist with inventory management with suppliers and monitoring delivery timelines.
Warehouse Liaison: Communicate daily with the warehouse team to check stock levels, prioritise urgent shipments, and resolve delivery discrepancies.
Data Management: Keep our SAGE systems and order databases meticulously updated and clean.
Requirements & Skills
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an administrative role, ideally within sales administration, order processing, operations, or logistics.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable speaking with customers, suppliers, and warehouse staff alike.
Technical Savvy: Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and experience using SAGE, or order management software.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and numerical processing (crucial for quotes and purchasing).
Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet when handling delivery delays or customer issues.
