.About the Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll play a key part to ensure stock is received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently, while maintaining the high standards of food safety.
Warehouse Operatives are trained and required to work across all areas of the bakery. The role involves manual handling and working in a fast-paced environment, using warehouse systems to maintain accurate stock records, and ultimately helping ensure our customers receive their orders on time.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Receive, store, pick, pack and dispatch goods accurately and efficiently
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely via Reach Truck
- Check incoming goods against delivery documentation, reporting any discrepancies or damage
- Accurately book in raw materials and packaging
- Store, rotate and label stock correctly
- Pick, pack, label and palletise sales orders to meet standards and deadlines
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including Forklift Trucks where licensed and trained
- Maintain accurate stock records and complete all required paperwork in line with BRCGS standards.
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and compliant with food safety and health & safety standards.
- Working as part of a team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
- Carry out any other duties as required.
What You Bring
- Experience working in a warehouse, logistics or distribution role.
- Knowledge of the relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Reach Forklift truck license and experience desirable but not essential.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient IT skills for stock control and record keeping systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
- Ability to learn and follow multiple processes including completing dispatch paperwork and records.
- Ability to manage workloads and work at pace to meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hourly Rate: £13.25 per hour, Monthly Pay
Working Arrangements: Monday – Friday, 2pm – 10pm shift, fully onsite.
