The Role
We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. Working from home and travelling to customer sites across the UK, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, calibrating and validating stability chambers, environmental rooms and ultra-low temperature freezers used within pharmaceutical, healthcare and laboratory environments.
This is a varied role combining refrigeration, electrical fault finding, calibration and customer support. Our goal is a first-time fix wherever possible, with fully stocked service vans and comprehensive product training provided.
What You'll Be Doing
- Service, maintain and repair stability chambers and temperature-controlled equipment.
- Diagnose faults across refrigeration, electrical and humidity control systems.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance, calibration and validation activities.
- Support healthcare and pharmaceutical customers, ensuring equipment operates within specification.
- Produce clear service documentation and communicate findings to customers.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Manage van stock and ensure readiness for emergency breakdown response.
- Travel throughout the UK, with occasional visits to Ireland.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous field service engineering experience.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience working on refrigeration and/or laboratory equipment.
Desirable
- F-Gas Category 1 Qualification.
- Experience with calibration and validation activities.
- Knowledge of GMP-regulated environments.
- Experience working with stability chambers, environmental rooms or ultra-low temperature freezers.
