Business Ventures Development Manager - The Role:
As Business Ventures Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind our business development operations. Reporting directly to the Business Ventures Manager, you will act as second-in-command, managing the day-to-day operations of the Business Ventures team whilst building relationships with prospective and existing businesses. This is a hands-on commercial role where you will guide opportunities from initial enquiry through to signed agreement, remove bottlenecks in our pipeline, and lead a team to deliver ambitious growth targets.
Business Ventures Development Manager - Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial meetings with prospective businesses and understand their commercial ambitions
- Develop proposals and business plans alongside prospective tenants, and support commercial negotiations
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Business Ventures team, supporting and coaching team members to achieve their objectives
- Oversee opportunities progressing through the sales pipeline, ensuring they move efficiently from enquiry through to agreement
- Monitor team performance, review weekly KPIs and produce recommendations for improving conversion rates
- Maintain accurate customer relationship management data and excellent CRM discipline
Business Ventures Development Manager - You:
- Have sales or customer experience with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Are confident leading people with strong organisational ability and commercial awareness
- Are self-motivated, highly organised, and comfortable in fast-moving environments
- Ideally have experience in rural, agricultural or property sectors, managing CRM systems, or writing business plans
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
