Apprentice Executive / Personal Assistant to Managing Director
About the Role
We are seeking a polished, highly organised and Apprentice Executive / Personal Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to the Managing Director of a and busy and fast-growing accountancy firm.
This is a high-trust, high-responsibility role working directly with the Managing Director to ensure their professional and personal schedule runs seamlessly. You will be the gatekeeper, organiser, and right-hand support in a fast-paced business environment.
This position is not part of general office administration and sits outside of wider office support functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Full diary and schedule management for the Managing Director
- Coordinating all meetings, appointments, and high-priority commitments
- Managing correspondence, emails, and incoming requests with discretion
- Preparing briefing notes, documents, and meeting materials
- Ensuring the Managing Director is fully prepared for all engagements
- Acting as the first point of contact and gatekeeper for communications
- Arranging travel, accommodation, and logistics where required
- Managing priorities and follow-ups to ensure nothing is missed
- Supporting with personal and business-related organisation and errands
- Organising lunches, hospitality, and refreshments for meetings
- Providing tea, coffee, and refreshments for the Managing Director and guests when required
- Ad hoc executive and personal assistant duties as required
About You
- Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail
- Professional, discreet, and trusted with confidential information
- Calm under pressure with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, intuitive, and able to anticipate needs before they arise
- Comfortable working in a close 1:1 executive environment
- Competent with Microsoft Office and diary management systems
- Presentable, reliable, and highly professional in manner
Training & Development
This is an apprenticeship role with structured training provided. You will gain direct exposure to senior leadership, high-level business operations, and executive support responsibilities, building a strong foundation for a long-term Executive or Personal Assistant career.
