Salary: £14.31 per hour dependant on qualifications and experience.

About Us:
Rowden House School, part of West Midlands Learning Campus, is a well-established service provider offering education and care for young people aged 11-19 years old with moderate to severe learning difficulties, some of whom are on the autistic spectrum and at times may present challenging behaviour.
The Role:
As a Cook at Rowden House School you will assist the Chef Manager to provide a quality meal service to staff, residents and visitors. This will include food preparation, general kitchen cleaning and washing up. You will cater to any special dietary requirements and ensure a hygienic work environment at all times. In the absence of the Chef Manager you will need to take responsibility for the day to day operation of the kitchen, including production of the food, food safety, any ordering needed and management of the staff.
Essential Criteria:
- Professional Cookery experience necessary
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
- Knowledge of vegetarian food and special diets
- Able to work on your own
- Well organised
- Good sense of humour
- A good communicator

Desirable Criteria:
- A working knowledge of a care environment, particularly dietary needs.
Education & Qualifications:
- Relevant professional qualification
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate
