Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Start Date: Monday 7 September 2026
Contract: Temporary With a view to become Permanent
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming preparatory school in Snaresbrook. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional looking for a full-time supply position within a supportive school environment.
The successful candidate will be working within the Lower Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting young children with their learning, development and day-to-day experiences.
The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include supporting children's learning and development, assisting with classroom activities, helping to maintain a positive and stimulating environment, and providing appropriate care and support throughout the school day.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Qualified to Level 3 in a full and relevant Early Years qualification
- Experienced working within an EYFS or Early Years setting
- Passionate about supporting young children's learning and development
- Caring, patient and enthusiastic
- Able to work effectively as part of a school team
- Reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Essential Requirements
Candidates must have:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Previous experience working within an EYFS setting
- All required safeguarding and pre-employment checks completed and available, in line with KCSIE requirements
- The right to work in the UK
Recruitment Process
The recruitment process will involve:
1. An initial 10-minute telephone call
2. A 30-minute interview with a member of the school's Senior Leadership Team
