Overview
We are seeking a Seasonal Chef to join our culinary team for a temporary period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in a busy kitchen environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall kitchen operations.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely and efficient service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing, sanitising, and storing utensils and ingredients
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality output
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation & cooking.
- Good knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Experience with meal preparation for large groups or events is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work varied shifts during the seasonal period, including weekends
Rate of pay tailored to experience, tip share in addition to hourly rate. End of contract term bonus.
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
