Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Blockman/Fish Filleter to join our team in a busy food production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing fish products to the highest standards of quality and safety, ensuring efficient and hygienic operations. The positions available will require you to work between the hours of 10pm - 8am (Average 7.5 hour shift between those times) with a salary of between £500-£1,000 per week depending on experience and skill level.
Responsibilities
- Carefully fillet and prepare fish according to specified standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the work area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in the organisation and storage of fish products, ensuring proper labelling and rotation.
- Operate specialised equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and descalers.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
- Support team members in other food preparation tasks as required, contributing to smooth production operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, particularly in butchery or fish preparation, is highly desirable, however not a necessity. We are offering positions for all experience and skill levels.
- Knowledge and understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices is essential. Training will be available to those applying at an entry level.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in fish filleting or general food preparation is beneficial.
- Candidates with a background in food preparation, kitchen work, or restaurant service are encouraged to apply.
