Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indo Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in creating authentic Indo Chinese dishes. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indo Chinese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in menu planning and develop new dish ideas that reflect authentic flavours and innovative twists.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, making adjustments as necessary.
- Train junior kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and hygiene practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment, ideally specialising in Indo Chinese cuisine.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques specific to Indo Chinese dishes.
- Experience serving customers or working in a hospitality environment is an advantage but not essential.
