Solray is a market leader in the design, manufacture and installation of radiant heating panels with the widest range of panels on the market. Having been established for nearly a century our reputation is built on both the bespoke nature and quality of our products - we know of Solray panels still in use today that date from the 1930s.
We are proud to manufacture our products at our factory and office just outside Swansea, and are broadening our product range which brings new machinery and processes to our factory.
We are therefore seeking a time serviced machinist to undertake general machining duties on manual lathes, milling machines, surface grinders and other general equipment.
Working closely with our Production Director, the role will also include general machine maintenance and repairs around our factory. Good diagnostic skills, problem solving, and hands on fixing skills are therefore required. A knowledge of electrical installation and troubleshooting would be advantageous.

Role responsibilities
- General machining duties on manual lathes, milling machines, surface grinders and other equipment.
- General maintenance of factory machinery under the guidance of the Production Director
- Supporting the Production Director and other team members with more bespoke elements of metal fabrication where required
Wage will be dependent on breadth and depth of experience with a review at six months (following a successful probationary period).
