Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Weekend Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, managing sales transactions, and supporting store operations during weekends. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional manner
- Provide detailed product information and upsell items to maximise sales opportunities
- Manage social media accounts by creating engaging content and responding to customer interactions
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure the store is attractive and well-organised
- Handle cash register operations, including processing payments accurately using basic maths skills
- Assist customers with enquiries over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Support stock organisation, replenishment, and inventory management tasks
- Utilise organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Promote special offers and loyalty programmes to enhance customer engagement
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse customers
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities to prioritise tasks during shifts
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products tactfully and confidently
- Good phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally
- Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
