We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Stores Operative to join our stores and despatch team. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a vital link in our production chain, ensuring that materials flow smoothly through the facility and finished goods reach our customers on time.
This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives under pressure and enjoys a busy workday. Prior warehouse or despatch experience is preferred.
£13 per hour
Monday to Friday with early finish on Fridays
Monday - Thursday : 07:00 - 16:00
Friday: 07:00 - 13:00
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- High-Volume Delivery Management: Handling incoming and outgoing deliveries in a timely manner, ensuring goods are processed accurately despite the fast pace.
- Stock Control: Performing regular cycle counts and stock checks to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.
- System Management: Swiftly booking stock in/out using our internal systems and maintaining digital records.
- Final Inspection & Packing: Conducting visual quality checks on machined components and packing them securely for shipment.
- Supplier Liaison: Communicating directly with suppliers to coordinate processes for specific components efficiently.
- Operational Support: Supporting the day-to-day activity of the stores environment, ensuring workflow remains uninterrupted during peak periods.

- Pace & Productivity: The ability to work quickly and efficiently to keep up with the demands of a busy facility
- IT Literacy: Must be confident using computers and internal databases for data entry and reporting.
- Attention to Detail: Maintaining high accuracy levels even when working under time constraints.
- Strong Communication: Ability to work well within a team and represent the company professionally when speaking with suppliers and colleagues.
- Adaptability: A positive, approachable mindset with the ability to pivot between tasks as priorities shift.
